OUR STORY

From humble beginnings to championship contenders

Built on Passion & Precision

Founded in 2023 by Walter Kibande, Walt's Rally Team emerged from a simple garage in Kireka where Walter spent countless nights perfecting his Subaru Impreza GC8. What started as a personal passion project quickly evolved into a professional racing team.

Our first competitive season in 2024 saw us finish in the top 10 of the FMU AutoCross Championship. Through dedication, technical innovation, and strategic partnerships, we've climbed the ranks to become serious championship contenders.

Today, we're recognized not just for our speed on the stages, but for our commitment to developing Ugandan motorsport talent and promoting safe, competitive rallying across East Africa.

2023

Team Foundation

Walter Kibande establishes Walt's Rally Team with a single Subaru Impreza GC8 and a small crew of enthusiasts.

2024

First Championship Season

Competed in FMU National Rally Championship, finishing 1st overall

2024

First Podium Finish

Achieved first podium finish at Jinja Rally, placing 2nd overall and establishing ourselves as contenders.

2025

Championship Leadership

Led the 2025 CRC FMU National Rally Championship with multiple event victories and thee season Title.

2026

UP Graded to NRC

After winning the CRC Championship in 2025 we where upgraded to NRC.
